The Air Jordan 4 Retro NRG ‘Raptors’ shares its name with an OG colorway of the Air Jordan 7. and both feature nubuck construction and a black . red and purple palette. The 4 differs from the 7 by ditching the charcoal grey paneling of the 1992 release while also adding a speckled midsole. But it’s not as if the ‘Raptors’ name is exactly canonical—the Toronto Raptors franchise didn’t exist before 1995.
